HOW TO HELP

There are many ways to keep Eli's memory alive as well as help children and their families who are going through a difficult time. You can volunteer to help put together wagons, serve dinner in Eli's memory at the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham, help coordinate an event or donate to the Eli Jackson Foundation Fund.

Red Wagons

At Children's of Alabama red wagons are available for patients to use during their stay. The wagons make transporting children easier and also a little less scary than typical wheelchairs. Eli always loved the red wagons and even slept in his from time to time. We will be collecting money to donate wagons in Eli's memory throughout the year. You can donate online below or to the Eli Jackson Foundation at River Bank & Trust (Formally People's Southern Bank) in Clanton or Thorsby.

ABout Eli

In April 2013 Eli got sick with the flu and meningitis. In May he was still sick and his sodium levels were not stable. The doctors decided to do a MRI and found a solitary fibrous tumor on Eli's brain. This tumor is very rare and typically a tumor found in adults. Eli was one of only two children to be diagnosed and the youngest child ever.
